Theater changes, theater scene-changes.
My name is Joey Sims and I am a theater journalist and playwright based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I am social media editor at Exeunt NYC and, prior to the theater shutdown, I was an operations manager at TodayTix. I am also a graduate of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Critics Institute.
Here you will find random writings on theater, plus links to my work elsewhere.
I love, love scene transitions in theater (good, bad and ugly), and given this moment both in the world and the theater industry, the name seemed appropriate.
To start us off, here is a scene transition I’m in love with right now. It is from the London National Theatre’s recent production of Amadeus, now streaming until July 23rd.
